Orissa Sponge Iron and Steel Limited is an India-based company, which is engaged in the manufacturing facilities to produce sponge iron, steel billets and power at its works at Palaspanga, Dist Keonjhar, Odisha. The Company also provides engineering services and supplies core equipment for sinter plants and mini blast furnaces. It provides know-how, engineering services and supervisory services for erection, testing and commissioning for the areas, such as coal-based DRI plants, sinter plants and mini-steel plants and includes generation of power using waste heat from the DRI plant. It is also engaged in DRI projects on a turnkey basis from concept to commissioning. The surplus power produced by the Company is sold to the state utility company after captive consumption in the sponge and steel billet units. It has its own manufacturing facilities and is a producer of coal based DRI, steel billets and power from waste heat.;
